Scarlett Johansson to star in 'Making of Psycho'
JohanssonLeigh, above, within the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock thriller 'Psycho'Director Sacha Gervasi has drawn on Scarlett Johansson and James D'Arcy to experience "Psycho" stars Jesse Leigh and Anthony Perkins in Fox Searchlight's "Alfred Hitchcock and the building of Psycho." Anthony Hopkins will have the legendary director, while Helen Mirren will have his wife, Alma. Gervasi's pic follows Hitchcock and the struggles throughout the filmmaking from the horror classic. John McLaughlin composed the script. Ivan Reitman, Joe Medjuck and Tom Pollack will produce through their Montecito Picture Company together with Tom Thayer. Sources tell Variety that "Making of Psycho" has attracted evaluations to "My Week With Marilyn," which the role of Jesse Leigh can lead to exactly the same honours consideration for Johansson the Lana Turner role did for Michelle Williams. Though D'Arcy's role is more compact in comparison to his co-stars, will still be considered a significant part given how important Perkins would be to the "Psycho" legacy. Johansson, who lately starred in Fox's "We Purchased a Zoo," is repped by CAA and Melanie Sloan Management.
